Upwork job alerts, in the inbox you actually use.
EarlyBird matches Upwork jobs to your saved skills and minimum budgets, then delivers alerts through email, Telegram, or Slack. Your dashboard gives you another place to review matches. Choose a delivery channel around your working routine, not around how many notifications you can tolerate.
Which alert channel fits your routine?
On smaller screens, scroll the table sideways to compare every column.
| Channel | A useful fit | How it connects | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| You review opportunities alongside client correspondence. | Use your EarlyBird account email and turn email alerts on in My alerts. | Your email preference is saved, and messages are not in spam. | |
| Telegram | You prefer to review notifications in a messaging app. | Choose Connect Telegram and complete its authorization flow. | The website shows Connected after you refresh connection status. |
| Slack | You keep your workday organized in a Slack workspace. | Choose Connect Slack and authorize the destination offered by Slack. | The intended workspace is connected and its notifications are enabled. |
Set the filters before connecting a channel
In My alerts, choose between 1 and 20 skills that describe services you can deliver. Enter a minimum fixed-price project budget and a separate minimum hourly rate. Both fields use whole-number USD amounts; 0 means no minimum. Save these preferences before leaving for a connector authorization screen.
For example, a React developer might choose React and Web Development, a $500 project minimum, and a $35 hourly minimum. These are illustrative settings, not recommended rates or a promise of available jobs. A $500 project and a $35/hour contract cannot be ranked meaningfully as if they were the same budget.
Connect Telegram or Slack without losing your edits
- Create an EarlyBird account and review the Basic subscription terms in checkout.
- Save your skills, budgets, and email preference in My alerts.
- Select Connect Telegram or Connect Slack, then review that service’s authorization screen.
- Return to EarlyBird and use Refresh connection status.
- Check that the channel is marked Connected.
You can use more than one channel. Switching email off does not disconnect Telegram or Slack. Use the relevant disconnect control to remove a connector; manage billing separately in your account.
A notification routine that leaves room for actual work
Start with the channel you already check. Review the original Upwork listing, confirm the scope and budget, and decide whether you have relevant examples before spending time on an application. An alert surfaces an opportunity; it does not certify the client, confirm ongoing availability, or submit a proposal.
Use the five-minute job scorecard to compare fit, scope, and missing information. If you prefer a conversation, the ChatGPT setup guide explains how to bring your EarlyBird matches into a chat. Those connections are separate from your email, Telegram, and Slack settings.
Why am I not seeing alerts?
- No matching jobs: review your selected skills and minimum budgets, then check the dashboard for available matches.
- Email is off: enable it and save your preferences. Check spam and filtering rules for your account email.
- A connector still says Not connected: finish authorization and refresh the connection status.
- The destination changed: check the connected Telegram account or Slack workspace.
- Nothing explains the problem: contact EarlyBird support with the channel, approximate time, and error message. Do not send passwords or tokens.
Delivery depends on matching jobs and connected services. This guide does not promise a delivery interval or an uninterrupted stream of opportunities.
Keep discovery and applying separate
